一、過(guò)渡詞句重要性

文章中句子之間、段落之間各種關(guān)系的體現(xiàn)都離不開(kāi)過(guò)渡性詞語(yǔ)，過(guò)渡性詞語(yǔ)對(duì)成文有三大好處，其一是使得表達(dá)更加流暢、連貫，能讓作者的成文思路更加清晰地呈現(xiàn)給讀者;其二是讓句式多變，讓文章更加精彩;其三，還能增加文章字?jǐn)?shù)，解救那些苦于字?jǐn)?shù)不夠的考生。可以說(shuō)過(guò)渡性詞語(yǔ)在一篇優(yōu)秀的考場(chǎng)作文中發(fā)揮著舉足輕重的作用。

二、必備過(guò)渡詞句

過(guò)渡詞句主要按用途分類有九類：

1.文章及段落起始常用的過(guò)渡詞語(yǔ)

to begin with首先

【例】To begin with, smoking should be banned in public areas.

generally speaking 總體上講

【例】Generally speaking, the more you practice, the more skillfully you can write in English. first of all 第一，首先

【例】First of all, many people in remote areas still live in poverty.

in the first place 首先

【例】In the first place, she can read at the rate of 100 words aminute.

2.文章及段落結(jié)尾常用的過(guò)渡詞語(yǔ)

therefore, thus因此

【例】Thus, taking morning exercises regularly may reduce the chances of getting sick.

in conclusion 最后

【例】In conclusion, universities should give larger amount of money to libraries.

in brief, in a nutshell 簡(jiǎn)言之

【例】In brief, birth control is of vital importance in China.

to sum up 總而言之

【例】To sum up, out of sight, out of mind.

in a word 總之

【例】In a word, country life is more beneficial than city life.

3.常用表示先后次序的過(guò)渡詞語(yǔ)

first 第一；second 第二；next 其次，然后；eventually 最后，最終；since then 自此以后；afterward 以后，隨后；meanwhile 同時(shí)；therefore 因而；immediately 立刻；finally 最后，最終。

【例】Finally, the country must not again go through the war.

4.常用表示因果關(guān)系的過(guò)渡詞語(yǔ)

accordingly于是；for this reason由于這個(gè)原因；as a result of由……結(jié)果；in this way這樣；consequently結(jié)果，因此；due to由于……；therefore因而；because of因?yàn)椋籺hus這樣。

【例】It rained, for this reason, the game was cancelled.

5.常用表示比較和對(duì)比的過(guò)渡詞語(yǔ)

in contrast with和……成對(duì)照；similarly同樣；whereas然而；on the contrary相反；different from與……不同；likewise同樣；equally important同樣重要；on the other hand另一方面。【例】Different from Jane, Mary is interested in Maths.

6.常用表示舉例的過(guò)渡詞語(yǔ)

a case in point恰當(dāng)?shù)睦樱籪or example舉例；namely( that is )即，這就是說(shuō)；for instance舉例。

【例】A case in point is the water control project along the Yangtze River.

7.有關(guān)描寫圖表的過(guò)渡詞語(yǔ)

during this time在此期間

【例】 During this time, more women took various jobs. apart from除了……之外

【例】Apart from the figures, the information below the table also suggests the growth of production. compared with與……相比較

【例】 Compared with the percentage of the base year, it jumped by 15 percent. from the above table/ chart/ graph根據(jù)上圖(表)所示

【例】From the above chart, it can be seen that changes do occur in the society.

8.常用表示強(qiáng)調(diào)的過(guò)渡詞語(yǔ)

furthermore此外；moreover而且；besides此外；in fact實(shí)際上；also而且，也；indeed的確；again另外，還；in particular尤其，特別；naturally當(dāng)然，自然，必然。

【例】Naturally, he denied that he had committed the crime.

9.邏輯連接詞語(yǔ)

second, last but not the least, seeing……先后次序關(guān)系；so, as a result of this, consequently, in consequence原因、結(jié)果關(guān)系；even though, though, regardless of轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系；also, as well as, either……or……并列關(guān)系；not only……but also……, in order to do it……, accordingly遞進(jìn)關(guān)系；when in fact……, similarly, compared with比較關(guān)系；on the contrary, contrary to, conversely對(duì)比關(guān)系；as he explains, like, put it simply, for one thing……for another……舉例關(guān)系；particularly, to be true, other things being equal強(qiáng)調(diào)關(guān)系；if so, if possible, provide that條件關(guān)系；in brief, in short, the conclusion can be drawn that……歸納總結(jié)關(guān)系。

上面所列舉的各類短語(yǔ)遠(yuǎn)不止于此，在有精力的前提下，大家在復(fù)習(xí)中還需要多多積累。
